4/5 plecs have got red fin tips? first time iv seen this
corries breathing really fast amd one keeps on goin upside down on the bottom, all my giant vallis look nearly dead

All my water reading are fine.
im doing a 50% WC and adding some carbon

i use easy carbo and TPN+, daily.
i added the correct ammount of fin rot treatment

Did the fish have red fins before you added the med.

What med was used.
What was the dosage you added to the tank.
Did you increase aeration in the tank.
Was the med out of date.

Size of tank in gallons or litries.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Med was interpet anti fungus and finrot
added the dosage as per instructions
can see the expiary date the last too digits are missing???
I did not increase aeration, because i thought i had enough with double spray bar, 900LPH powerhead
never noticed the red streaks before.
that cory which was acting funny and goin upside down is now dead.

tank is about 350L
8 discus, 2 angels, about 16 cories, 5 plecs and a few ottos

the biggest plec is acting really strange now keeps on going up to the surface and falling down, and looking dead for about 5 mins then swimming off, this is how the cory started

The angels and discus seem fine

ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 12.5
PH around 5.5

they look like there trying to get out of the tank and looking like there choking

Ok.
Anti fungus and finrot med not very good by interpet.

It sounds like your fish have septicemia.
Once the med out of the tank add anti internal bacteria med by interpet.

Septicemia

Symptoms:

Fish may have reddening at fin bases, blood streaks throughout the fins and body, small hemorrhages around the eyes. Dull listless behavior and lack of appetite may also be present.

Cause:

Systemic bacterial infection caused by various bacteria, including Aeromonas, Pseudomonas and Vibrio. The illness is often brought on by poor water quality or as a result of parasitic infestations or other infections. These bacteria enter the blood stream and circulate through the tissues causing inflammation and damage. Inflamed blood vessels in the skin and at fin bases stand out. Blood vessel and heart tissue damage cause hemorrhaging and consequently leakage of body fluids into the abdomen, which may lead to Dropsy.

Treatment:

Water conditions must be improved for all fish in the tank, regardless of how many fish are infected. Check your water’s Treat with Kanacyn or Tetracycline as well as with a medicated food if the fish will eat. If parasites are suspected, all the fish in the tank should be treated with antiparasitic medication. Using salt to help restore osmotic balance might be helpful.

There is no where open now to buy any meds.
could it be reacting with the easycarbo and TPN+

So 2moz i should pick up some internal bacteria med. why does it have to be interpet?

What can i do now to help, iv already added carbon and done a 50% WC

What's TPN.
Anti internal bacteria is the only med in the uk I know that treats septicemia.
Septicemia hard to cure once it progresses.

TPN+ is a plant fert, its a well know one, and highly recoomended on here.

The fish are all out swimming around. the fins are not red at the base.

I was planning on doin a 50% WC 2moz

Dont know what to do? this all started due to trying to treat a fish!

an adolfi is now on its back dying and the head and light tetras are on there way

I would carry out another water change.
Ferts are not meant to half fish even when over dosing.

Also I would try and find out the ingredients in the med.

At the min 3 rummy nose and 1 cardinal tetra is dead, 1 adolfi, its mainly the small fish and plecs going funny
im doing another 50% WC now

I think its down to the med out of date as it contains phenoxyethanol, which can ferment into phenols
which can cause this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phenol
thats in humans but would also affect fish IMO

Ok. Bless them.
I would do another water change.
Also add some fresh filer floss or matting.

Signs of toxins are gasping, laboured breathing, excess mucas, darting, turning upside down, trying to jump out of tank.

It's looking that way.
Some members have had the samething happen with the anti finrot and fungus med.
