This morning I rearranged my four smaller tanks onto my dresser: 2.5 gallon tank with a betta, 2.5 gallon tank with fry, 1 gallon tank with a betta and 1 gallon tank with a sick molly. The 2.5 gallon tanks were on a bottom shelf and the 1 gallon tank were on an upper shelf.
Anyway, I decided to move one of my 2.5 gallon tanks to the upper shelf and the one gallon tank to the bottom shelf. After I moved them, I went into the bathroom and heard a loud crash!!
I raced into my bedroom (where all of the tanks are) and discovered that the top shelf had collapsed!!
Two of the tanks with the bettas had fallen over, spilling most of the gravel, water and the bettas behind the dresser!! My dad quickly disconnected the electricity and I was in such a panic that I tried to turn the lights on several times with no luck. Finally, I raced downstairs for the flashlight. After moving the dresser out I quickly searched for the bettas, who were flopping around in the gravel. Luckily, I found both of them and dropped them into my 46 gallon tank.
While my parents were busy cleaning the gravel and water, I set up the remaining three tanks in their room and put one of the bettas in the breeder net in my 46 gallon.
The result is: 1 broken 2.5 gallon tank, the carpet soaking wet, two stressed bettas and a very stressed me!!
