Hi People,

Im just in the process of cycling my aquarium. My tank has had water in it for around for days now....

Just a quick question.... Should i be changing the water periodically during the cycling process?? There are no fish in it at the moment so i figured i wouldnt need to.

Am i correct??

Help is appreciated!!

Thanks again

How are you doing the cycling process?

If using the ammonia method, you shouldn't have to do any water changes until the cycles completes and nitrates start to build up. They are the end product in the cycle and can only be reduced by water changes. You will need a test kit - I recommend an API master test kit.

You can save yourself a lot of grief and time by using MarineLand BioSpira to accomplish a very quck and effective cycle.

yup it depends how your cycling, if fishless you don't need to do water changes until it's done, if cycling with fish then yes you need to do regular changes
