Hello everyone.

As previously advised i have been doing 10% water change daily for the passed week.

My readings are now

Nitrite 0 - 0.25

Ammonia 0.25

Nitrate 10

Are these ok ? The tank has been cycling since the 28 December, with fish thanks to my lfs.

Thanks Will

Well any ammonia or nitrite can be harmful for the fish, but if you keep it that low then I don't see a problem... for nitrite I would say anything over 0.3(mg/l) is overly harmful and for ammonia, anything over 0.25(mg/l) is overly harmful. Just keep up on the water changes and try to get some mature media to speed up the cycle.

The stats look good, but in order for your fish to really thrive, ammonia needs to be at 0. Don't add any more fish until that is at 0. You are doing a good job and are almost there!
