Tank Cycled

Forced into a fish in cycle (long story, but previous filter broke) which is now complete

Ammonia has been 0 for over 2 weeks, and nitrites 0 for 4 days now. I have 3 platys and 1 Raphael catfish already in a 60L tank (which has a tetratec ex600 filter)

If all goes well and I prove to be a keeper of healthy,happy and long living fish, I will be adding a larger aquarium next year (260 Litres) which I am currently planning to stock with cichlids (seems a very distant dream but its good to have something exciting to aim for)

My question now is: What should I add to make a nice peaceful community tank in my 60 Litre tank?

Objectives
I want a peaceful tank with happy fish
To learn as much as possible before setting up a larger aquarium
Completely different fish to those I would add to the larger aquarium

Options
Pygmy corys (4-5) or ADF
glowlight tetra (6) or guppies or Honey Gourami

Any other ideas sugegstions would be most welcome.

hey i have got my own community aquarium and it is very peacefull, probably the same litre as yours too....
in my tank there is,

4 spotted mollys
2 sunset mollys
2 sword tails
1 dwarf gourami
1 sucker loach
2 zebra danio
1 silver dollar
feather fin catfish
2 black widow tetra....

Out of the fish you have listed I would go for:

2 x Honey gourami
5/6 x pygmy cories
4 x ADF or perhaps some shrimp?
