Ive had a second tank set up for a month roughly and when i filled it up i used a mixture of my larger tank water and new water (with water conditioner), would it be ok to add some fish?

When i set my larger tank up i had it running for a week before i added fish and its been fine (i was young, impulsive and foolish when i set it up lol)

Im thinking to move my betta and/or minnows

Any help people?

You need to cycle the new tank first. Moving water from the established tank won't do much because the good bacteria that you need to keep the fish safe, live in a mature filter not the water, a little amount is in the gravel.

Do you want to fishless cycle or fish-in?

I was just wondering if it was ok to move fish atm, but fish in cycling then

Ok, why don't you use some of the filter media from your established tank, I think you said it is bigger? Just put the used media in your new tanks filter, then you can add fish but keep an eye on ammonia and/or nitrite levels and do a water change if any appear. This is the basis of fish-in cycling but adding mature media should prevent too much of an ammonia spike. The bacteria in the mature media should process most if not all of any ammonia produced by the fish.

PS is that your greyhound in your atavar? He/she is beautiful.
