Tank Compatibility

Well, I just recently found out that my newly aquired "bolivian rams" are geos, and will soon eat my fish. I got these for some blood parrots i traded in, and now i geuss i have to go back again! I also aquired 2 black skirt tetra from a friend...are these fin nippers? Should i trade them in for more peaceful fish? Well, this is what i have currently in my tank:

2 X Geo brassiliensis
2 X BS Tetra
2 X Bosemani Rainbow
3 X Pearl Danios
1 X Sailfin Plec
1 X Albino Plec
3 X Spotted Corys
2 X Aenus Corys(2 BR 1 AL)

I want to get more rainbows and some danios. perhaps some tetra or angelfish? Suggestions/comments?

How large is your tank? I always thought bolivian rams were fairly peaceful and would leave smaller fish alone? Who told you they would eat smaller fish? I mean, they only grow to about 3 inches.

Oh, dear. Mislabels sucks. I am not very familliar with that fish, so I don't really have any good advice. Sorry.

Take them back to the place that you purchased them at and tell them that they mislabeled the fish and you thought you were buying something that would do well in your tank. Demand a refund or exchange of fish.

Well, they know me so I know I will get a refund. But the real question is once I move these out of my 55....what else can I put in there?
The fish that I'm looking for are: AngelFish,Tetra. Danios,Rainbowfish....what will be okay in there? I know more danios and rainboefish...which i probably will get anyways, but how about cherry barbs, angelfish, or tetra? Will these nip/or be nipped by my BS tetra?

Get more of the tetras and rainbows to bring their numbers up to 6 and more of the danios to bring them up to 5.

Also note that you say you have 2 corydoras aenus but in brackets you have 2 bronze and 1 albino - I'm pretty sure that 1+2 does not = 2 - just something I noticed...

Anyway, black skirts can sometimes be a bit nippy but not too bad. You can get cherry barbs and they aren't schooling fish so a trio would be enough. Angels should be ok provided your black skirts aren't a nippy group (adding more will help with this). As for getting more tetras - what kind? If you are going to get angels, make sure you get young ones and let them grow up with any tetras you get and avoid neons or similarly-shaped fish though they can be ok if the angels grow up with them (I have personaly had very bad experiences with mixing neons and angels but others disagree). Tetras that are shaped like black skirts or black phantoms usualy won't get eaten. Also, I believe your plecs are going to get pretty big (don't know what the albino is of course but if it's a common...) as well and they are messy fish so make sure you are prepaired to re-home or return them and increase water changes/maintainance if/when necessary.

I am gonna get more rainbows and hopefully more of the danios. My LFs usally doesnt sell pearl danios, so I may add sebra danios instead. I meant to say 2 bronze corys and 1 albino...but I got sorta lazy One of my plecs is in there temp. while my 40 gallon gets over a case of fin rot. I will add him later. Well, I sorta "rescued" those black Skirt tetra from a friend's bro who add them in cracked 10 GL with 2" of water!!!! So I said I'll take those. I might take them back also. I'm trying to keep my fish from nippy and agressive as possible due to this is the 2nd time trading fish in due to aggresivness. They seem not to be bothering anything right now. I think I might get some Phantom Tetra or similar tetra, if I get angels. Will they school with my BS tetra? if I don't get angels, then I might get neons or rummynoses. it mainly depends on what my LFS has.
