Tank Clean 0ut

Hey... I have a 30 gallon tank with UGF (under gravel filter) with 18 fish and i'm planning on doing a full tank clean out.
When i take out my fish what should I do?
Where do i put them?
I need some advice on what to do and what to watch out for?
This is the first time i'm doing this and the tank really needs it.

I Have to clean under the under gravel filter and i'm getting new gravel

Go get one of those rubber maid storage containers.

Well the only time that I've actually cleaned my whole tank out was when I was scrubbing it when it had a nasty outbreak of whitespot...and what I did was net all the fish (-took ages to catch over fifty of them -) and put them into a big clean bucket that was really really big and used to hold Daz washing powder! I use that bucket for all my water changes...but anyway, so they stayed in a bucket. It didn't take me that long but I'd suggest putting an air stone in the bucket too so they have oxygen while they're out of the tank.
Oh, and remember that the fish will have to be acclimatised first before you put them back into the tank because if they've been in a bucket for some time their water would have dropped in temperature, and if you just put them straight back into a warm tank it may shock them.
