Tank Been Under Treatment....

Ok, so the tank that the two swordtails died in has been under treatment for mouth rot and fungus thingies.

the two remaining swordtails looked quite pregnant before treatment, as did the dalmation molly.

after treatment i've noticed the green swordtails gravid spot is smaller, but still black.

the gravid spot on the orange female (which wasn't far off popping) is tiny and not black.

and the molly, well she's just not as fat now!

could they have aborted their pregnancies? or might they have dropped some fry and we've not spotted them?

Sounds like they gave birth or could of aborted, could they of been eaten?

possible they may have been eaten, though there are some very dense plants in the tank - moss balls etc which fry could hide in - the other fish don't bother much with that.

would've thought if 3 had dropped fry, i would at least spot one.

the green swordtail as i say still has a gravid spot, but it is smaller than it was, but still black.

she is sitting low down to the gravel too. just doesn't seem big enough to drop the fry yet.
