Would a typical sleepingbag/camping undermat made of closed cell foam approx 10mm thick be ok instead of styrene tiles?

I'd be putting a Juwel Rio 180 on it.

Does anyone here have the Rio 180 tank with original stand?
If so, please could you tell me how much the tank ends overhang the main body width of the stand by?
The Juwel website only gives maximum overall width/dimensions.
The reason I ask is that I need to check if a very sturdy unit I have will be wide enough to safely hold the Rio 180, and I need to check to see if I'm going to have to add a 18mm mdf thick board under the full width of the tank base or not, to support the ends of the tank as it'll currently overhang by 150mm each end and I'd rather avoid soggy carpet syndrome.

These questions are fairly urgent as I'm probably picking the tank up today and I will need to set it up again as soon as I get it home as it's currently fully stocked and I have no real way of giving the residents alternative accomodation until I have this problem sorted.

Many Thanks

Richard.

On an official stand there should be no overhang at all and it should fit perfectly. If going for a different stand it doesn't need to be perfect but there has to be no overhang else you risk the tank cracking over time.

Thanks, so I guess I'll leave it on the stand it comes with for now and put it in my bedroom until I make an 18mm thick sealed base as big as the tanks base to go on top of the sturdy unit I have in the front room.

VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION NOW:-
Can I use a sleepingbag/camping UNDERMAT made of closed cell foam approx 10mm thick be ok instead of styrene tiles?

I could be going for the tank in a few hours time.

The Juwel tanks shouldn't need anything under them.

They have what's called a 'floating base', where they sit on a plastic trim that holds the base of the tank away from the surface they're stood on.

If that's missing, it will need a support and the camping mats would be fine.
