ello,

i put some wood in my tank, and despite soaking it some tannins hav still been relaesd, will the filter remove them or will have to keep doing water changeS??

Did u soak the wood first? If so how long for?

I had a similar problem..... slowly corrected itself after a few 20% changes!!!!!

On the other hand u could remove it and soak it for a bit longer!!!!! ;)

Just be sure you're not running a planted tank and adding ferts. because the carbon will soon absorb all the ferts.

Water changes will eventually remove the tannin, but I would not worry about the tannin at the expense of building up your bacterial colony. Tetras, in particular, like tannin in the water, but it won't harm anyone anyway. It is an aesthetic issue, I think :)
