Hello all,

I was wondering,
Does any of you have experience with 'taming' fronts?

I know they're shy fishes, but as soon as something outside the tank moves, they hurry back to their caves for like half an hour.
When hungry, they swim towards the front, but when i open the top or when food hits the water they scurry away.

How can i 'tame' them?

regards,
Steven

Ah, i'm dreadfully sorry for making it confusing.

Taming as in: the act of domesticating wild animals
I mean, making my fronts more adapted to humans (my hand f.e.g.)

the fronts are the normal blue zambia
And also some 'red fronts', sold to me by a &#@é## shopkeeper in my neighbourhood. 'yes, they certainly will become dark blue in a few months'.

greetings!

Most of the time its them getting used to you and associating your face with food or treats, I've had a betta for about a week and he comes to the front of the tank and will suck a bloodworm out of a straw( even jump up at straw and grab the worm before it hits the water)

I tried doing things slowly yesterday evening.
slowly walking towards the tank, as to not scare them, I slowly took some food :ninja: .
Then i very carefully opened the tank, and a few water drops slid down and hit the water.
Boom, all fronts gone :X

I'm going to sit besides the tank for hours with the top open and try to put my fingers in whenever they come out of hiding.
it's dogged that does it! :hooray:
