She looks dt to me - that doesn't look like damage - but then, my voice about these things is very small. Just thought I'd give my 2 cents. Wait for others.

that would be a double tail, it doesn't appear to be caused by damage, as the rays seem to curve naturally into the 2 sections of the tail fin. excellent find :good:

thats what i hoped, but its a veil tail, so i dont think im going to try to breed her. she is a nice fish, got her at petsmart for $2.19! so i couldnt pass her up just to add her to my colection.

yeah, shes has some fin dammage, just split, not missing so it should heal 100%

So you think she's a normal VT who's had her tail split? I think it looks like she's genetically DT rather than DT-via-injury. Look at the dorsal fin...it's pretty long, as is seen with DT bettas. I really don't think she's just a VT who had her tail damaged. But, I think she might have the DT gene being overpowered by other genes perhaps...

no, im pretty sure she is a dt, she has some other damnage is what i am saying. i dont name my fish, i have to many i couldnt remember anyways. lol

anyone have pictures of other dt vt?

I do, but they aren't that good sadly. Mainly because the DTVT I have is a tail biter. :(
