For the past week i had noticed that i had only seen 5/6 Neon Tetras and 2/3 Clown Loach....
So yesterday afternoon while doing a gravel vacuum i checked under all of the ornaments. My gf saw a yellow tail in one of the tiny holes inside the top of the ornament. I had assumed it was dead but i wanted to check if the Tetra was up there too.. We tried to flush the body out to no avail. So, we took a hammer it.. Low and behold the CL was ALIVE!!!
In a panic we placed it back into the tank via a net and are treating the tank with a small amount of melafix and kept the light off over night.
God knows where this Tetra is, but he was in a bad way with fin rot (the only one in the tank) so i assume he has been eaten?
Oh and we also discovered 2 baby guppies hiding in the plants
