Finally figured out that Adam West is biting his tail. Now what to do about it? Im wondering if maybe he's seeing his reflection on the tank sides and back. I hate stick on back grounds but i was thinking i could do a bubble curtain along the back and side? I haven't seen him flare at himself, but normally when i am there he is at the front of the tank looking at me and being a goof ball. i think the bubble curtain would not only look awesome, but would break up the mirror effect on the back. Does anyone else think this would work?

the most common cause of tail biting is stress :/ i am currently having the same problem with 1 of my males who lives on his own, i actually caught him doing it.

i've heard people saying placing new things in and around the tank can help as it will give them something to explore and not get bored, giving them more attention *eg. put there tank in a busy area so they get loads of 'people' time, boy do they love it!*

I was thinking about adding some new shrimp to his tank to see how he'd react... Even if he ate them at least he'd be entertained for a bit lol He is definitely a people betta. He's on my desk at work, and anytime i come in or other people come to oogle at him, he comes right to the front and follows my finger around etc. I feel bad that hes in such rough shape :/ hes such a good little fishy.
