Can you purchase a 18inch/460mm length tube?
Cant seem to find any.

The tubes don't have to be a specific brand.
I want to do a conversion from T8s
to T5s space is limited that's the reason I posted couldn't find any on E-bay or the web.
I have 22in Tetra aquarium planted, the lighting is not that much good.

The reason i asked is because juwel make specific tube lengths so that you can only buy their tubes for their aquariums/ hoods.

As fas as I know the shortest high output T5 available is 549mm (excluding pins). This is a 24watt tube. I upgraded from T8 tubes to T5 tubes in my post but the total length of tube with end caps measured 577mm.

There are shorter standard T5 tubes but the wattage will be lower than your current T8 tube(s).

As previously mentioned, you could use the Juwel high-lite tubes (expensive) and buy a seperate 24watt electronic ballast. Maybe the Arcadia ultra seal unit.
