Hiya there,

Do you think that T5 tubes with a Kelvin rating of 7100K would be good for plant growth?

Thanks in advance :good:

The specturm of light the tube produces is more important than the kelvin rating they have. The pinned lighting article has examples of decent makes of plant tubes.

Just out of interest does the K rating of a tube determine the wavelengths of light it produces? I.e. 6500k is considered a good plants tube because is produces the right wavelengths or can you get a 6500k tube that doesn't produce any wavelengths suitable for plants say a 6500k blue tube?

Or are can you change the K rating independently of the wavelengths it produces?
