T5 24" Can It Go On 30"

Could I figure out some way to put a 24" T5 fixture on a 30" tank, it's a double t5 fixture with two 15w bulbs or would that not even be enough lighting?

From all I have been reading if you have 30 gal. you need 60w to get 2w per gal.
You divide the wattage by the gallons to get how much lighting you will have. How much are you trying to get? You didn't say... enough for what?

Ya I know that I was just wondering if t5 wattage is higher than say a t8 bulb thus nat making you need as much. I'd like to get 2-2.5wpg though
