This is a rescued fish, the white tips on the fins have now all healed, its eyes are bright and clear, but it is still slightly skinny, but better than when it arrived here, visually it looks fine, but please quarantine it before adding it to your own tank. The fish is free to collector, however I will want to know the tank size and photographic proof of tank size (sorry been caught out before giving away a rescued fish). Also please continue reading before jumping at a free fish

Important note: This particular fish is VERY aggressive, it came from people with no idea of stocking and it was eating neons. It will now feed happily on JMC catfish pellet, vegi chips and tetra prima. I have attempted to house it in some of my other tanks but this fish will not tollerate plecs or other catfish of any kind. It went for my little bristle nose and would not leave it alone, it also harrassed a much larger plec (I havnt tried it with my 18" plec because he would do serious damage to the catfish if he swiped it with his pectoral fins, he has accidentally killed a 6" RTBS before). This catfish continually harasses other bottom dwellers, corys loaches etc and it is not particularly pleasant with other fish. In desperation I am back to housing it with a mississippi map turtle (male 5" turtle who will not harm the fish, not ideal the extra water changes are not a problem so the water quality is ok for the fish, I am not recommending keeping a turtle & fish together).

Due to the aggression levels of this fish, if you are willing to take it on and it does not work out, I would rather you to return the fish to me rather than dump it in a shop where it could end up in the same situation as I rescued it from.

To collect this fish you will need a suitable container as the spines will pierce a bag.
