Hi I posted this in the catfish section but no one has replied so thought id ask in here if anyone knew?

Seems I have a whitespot outbreak and I wondered if im able to use the normal dose with a catfish?

some medications can be used at normal strength but most will suggest using a half dose for scaleless fishes like catfish, loaches & eels.

What kind of fish do you have your syno's with? I was told they do well with african cichlids..I just added 3 to my 55g. cichlid tank...My concern is how can they get there food? The cichlids get it....
I also have a 28g. w/ Tetra's Danio's neon's and cory cats....

depends on what species u have theyre are some which need to have high ph and live wi africans ie multipuntatus and petricola

I have my syno with my african cichlids.I was worried too about him eating cause he wouldnt come out as the cichlids kept chasing him back in the rocks but now he is happy as larry and he is always out and about generally follwing the cichlids about lol especially my yellow labs hes taken quite a shine to them, he sees the others eating at feeding time and I pop some pellets in and he munches or sometimes he will nick some flakes.He adores bloodworm too.
Actually I swear this syno thinks hes a cichlid too

Thanx for the advice on the whitespot treatment ill only half the dose on it

Thanks I hope my syno's start following my cichlids....I have 3 in there and it is hard to count them when I do my head count in the morning...LOL...
