ok i have had three mail guppis togther for awhile no female and they have been fine but i bought a male amazon swordtail who is happy and alive and a marigold i think (it orange) female swortail well she looked ok but the male guppies were all around her like movingin on her and stuff not raming or anything just being nosey. anyway a few minutes ago i walked in and looked and she was dead but the otehr fishi bought fromthere seemto be doing fine. i checked my water everythingis perfect. i was wondering if they were attacking her becuase she was female and even tho shes bigger she looks similar. i also have two red tailed sharks a dojo loach a pleco and two skirted tetras in ther in a 20 gal. but there is plent of places for them to hide and go. should i get a few female guppies or even one? i know that there should be 2 females to every one male but i dunno know what else to do unless the swortail was just sick to begin with. please help.

It's probably because the male guppies have not had a female for a while. So as soon as they get a female they think she's for them. You could get female guppies but they will have babies, and lots of them, so just keep that in mind. And you always want to have more females then males. So if you would decide to get female guppies you would need four of them. So that way they are not always stressed by your 3 male guppies.

Sorry to hear she died :(

I think maybe some female guppies might help. Though im not sure if it was because she was a female??

i think that maybe she was sickbecause i dont think anything the lil guppies could have done woulod kill her within an hour. but my male should be sick to then? bcuz he was in the same tank.

its mearnt to be 2 femaile for a male.
go to the site and it shows a diagram of a fish with certain diseases. see if ur fish had any.

i put the brackets in because this site blocks other fish sites if it has a forum or something like that

http://www.(take out)####.co.uk/Diseases1.htm

thats annoying its blocking my link. go to tropical fish centre then on the left click diseases

she didnt look wierd and she wasnt acting wierd shewasfine. and theni walked out side to find her dead.
