Swordtails

HI i have two female swordtails and one male swordtail. does anyone know how to tell if a female is pregent. And is it possible for a brickred swordtail to mate with a different type of swordtail or do they have to be the same type to mate?

If a female is in with a male, chances are she will be pregnant. She'll get fatter, and she may have a gravid spot depending on the coloring. I would say 99% chance your females are pregnant.

Nope, they don't have to be the same color. They are all the same species, so it doesn't matter.

i also have two other types of fish in my tank. does that matter for her getting pregent faster or slower. i have two other rainbow sharks and everyone gets along well

im only new to this
but she will get preggy if there is still other fish are in there
she,ll look like shes ready to pop, whens she due and go sort of sqaurish in shape under her tummy
i think, as i dont have swordtails.
and if she,s pail in colour you might see little eyes.
