i have just got 3 more swordtails so now i have six the reason for this is that i had one female to 2 males so i now have three of each so i hoped it would stop them badgering the female but these new ones are not mixing with the new and the two males are still continuosly fighting any suggestions? he is a silver swordtail and the other is pineapple but the female is also silver? will they kill each other?

I think im right to say that you would be better off with a ratio of 1 male to 3 or 4 females, this will stop the males competing for a female as theres plenty of them.

Whacky's got it right. with Livebearers(swords', guppies, platties) it's best to have a higher ratio of females to male to prevent the males attacking each other out of boredom
