Some how a baby male swordtail managed to survive and get to half the size of a neon without beening eaten in my mums tank! I took it off her hands and he was doing very well, his sword as started to grow but now he looks a bit poorly. All his fins are contracted together and from time to time he will flick on a plant, he also has a few white lumps on one of the fins which does look like white spot. I have been treating for white spot but i never known fish to contract there fins together with white spot so is it something else?

could be stress?
from moving tanks at a young age?
just a thought.

He has been in my tank for well over a month now and he settled in right away, he even tried his mating dance thing that they do but the cardinal tetras wasnt interested :)

Clamped fins are a sign of stress, is he also laboured breathing.

He's not sounding to good, is he really thin, or has he just lost weight as he's off his food.

Yes he is very thin! But i have a clown loach thats the same but that gets picked on by the other 2. It does it eat but not much.
