Swordtail Pregnant ?

Hi all.

My female swordtail have a very dark inner spot at the back of her body just before the anal fin.

By reading around and asking some questions its been said that its the eye of the fry that you can see.

The only problem with this is that is been there for more than a month

Am I confused ?

Some fish have a naturally dark gravid spot so it is more difficult to tell if they are pregnant. If she drops fry and still has the dark spot, then she probably has a naturally dark spot. I have a couple of guppies that have dark gravid spots even when they have just given birth. I also have one swordtail like that.

my friend had the same problem.
his sword tail was pregenant for about 55 days but once you could
see the eyes on the fry in her belly your coming close
