i was out yesterday looking for new fish so i went to another town and came across sorwdtail guppyies i belive are they uncommon?i wasnt sure if i should buy them or not coz the tank had white spot so i thought id get ur oppions b4 i mite go back an get them an make them better.

If it has white spot, I wouldn't take the risk of infecting others or have the ones you buy die. Well, the guppies with the swordtails are somewhat rare, it is actually more common to find double swordtails then singe swordtails. The can be very cool looking, but other times, it is better to get regular fancy guppies because some "loose there flavor" sort to speak :/

They're not as commonly seen as common guppies. But they're certainly not rare.

Absolutely do not buy from a tank with white spot and introduce them to your current tank. That's just asking for havoc. But if you have a quarantine tank, you can keep them in there for a month at least and treat with a full course of anti-ich meds (i wouldn't even just risk the heat/salt method).

I think it is a waste of money to spend on fish that might die. I would just let them get treated at the store or wait for others to come it :/
