I had about two dozen swordtail fry in a ten gallon tank and now can only find four. Is it common for this to happen with a fry tank? I have been feeding them three times a day. I also plan to buy another ten gallon tank so i will have three and then split the ones that i have in my ten gal. community. I have two platy, two swordtail, two guppy, and two molly. What should I put together? I also have a newt and an albino corydora.

Yes this is common i would put the platys and guppies together and the corydora
and the rest in the new 10 gallon :D

I cleaned my community tank this morning and found out that both of my guppies and my male swordtail died/were eaten. I think that my newt ate them. I am now saving up for a 55 gal. tank that is $250.00 used with a stand. i have already picked a spot in my house that does not have a lot of traffic and is very quiet and calm. Is that a good spot? in my ten gal. tanks i have a heater would i need to buy a bigger heater or if i were to put both of theese in the tank would it work? I do know that i will need to buy new filters.

I did decide not to buy the third ten gal. and save for a 55 gal. instead. It should take me about a month to save up for it.

I just got it filled and it leaks. So i am going to get some cauk and fix it.
