Swordtail Breeding

Hi I am into getting a few swortails and was wondering if they all have to be the same color, such as a red male and yellow female (for example) would those two fish still mate? Also is it possible to mate a swordtail with a Platy? soory if i used incorrect terms and thank you for replies

Yeha, swordtail's are Sowrdtails they all mate w/ eachther. They cna mate with platy's too.

Yes I have been told that and seen gupies get very stressed when the male follows her arouns. So that will definaltley be my ratio 3F:1M. O and do the female swords just look like platys, and are they just as colorfull?

Female swords do look like platy's, they are just longer.
