Swordtail Behaviour

ok i got a pair of painted swords today and my male is showing some really strange behaviour ...he being real pesky to my female painted sword Fin nippin and chasing her around he is also doing this backward swim wiggling his tail fin in her face or around her tail fin kinda like and "En Guarde" motion looks like hes trying to sword fight her lol is this normal behaviour for these fish or should i think about getting another female i heard it can mellow down males if they have two females avalible to them (i did this with my Sunburst wag Pladys)

Preferably get two or three more females. This is well documented, they do it all the time. One male for three or four females will probably solve the problem.

ok thanks for the help i added more plants to take up some of the extra space in the tank ... havnt gotten around to getting more sword females yet but i will when payday comes lol ....they seem to have mellowed out since i added the plants but i will prob get at least one more female sword to bring my tank total to

1 male platy 2 female platys
1 male sword 2 female sword
