Three days ago I put 3 swords (1 mal 2 female) and 2 mollies (1 male 2 female) into a 20 gallon long. They are the only fish in there and it has finished it's cycle. The two female swords both looked like they were going to give birth very soon (they looked like they were going to pop). So I put them in a 10 gallon (completely cycled as well) by themselves, one in a breeding net (the square net one) and one in the tank itself. They havn't moved, havn't eaten, or anything. They just stay in the same spot. There fins are all up too, I don't know whats wrong.

Should I put them back into the 20 gallon? They acted normal there. The only thing is I want to keep all the fry I can.

Perhaps they r stressed or they havn't get used to the new environment. I once thought my female sword's pregnant n put her in a breeding trap inside the main tank. She stayed in the same spot n the male sword stayed close outside the trap, looking at her like trying to rescue her!

Do u hav any hiding places in the 10 gallon?

Yea, more then enough hiding spots. I decided to just put them back with the rest and try to catch the fry the second they come out. It was weird, the male would hang around the females, but after i moved them he just hid. Now that I put the females back he still hides and won't come out. The mollies must have scared him :S
