Can you post a pic so we can see, also what are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, what size tank, how many fish, and which type, can you describe what you mean by the tail.

ammonia is 0

Can't tell on them pictures, have you water stats.

By sticking out do you mean clamped? Looking at your pictures it kind of looks like her tail is clamped and her top fin is clamped down as well. Clamped fins on a swordtail can mean any number of things are wrong. Have you had her long? Any changes to the tank recently?

I haven't had her long and no changes since I've had her. I think the damped fins makes sense. She's doing a little better today.
