Aqua Essentials shipworldwide but i am not sure on the costs, a cheaper option be to dose some potassiumm nitrate,

well actually i just whent to the lfs and picked up some npk root tabs
i placed one under my sword, and if it starts growing really good, then i will know lack of nitrates
was the problem. i whent from not dosing anything in my life to putting in npk
and trace root tabs. should i keep putting in the trace to?

its been two weeks and the swords are doing even worse

ok im going to give my stats as a final attempt to find the problem
2.6 wpg
ehiem classic
2-4 inches of pea gravel
year old laterite
npk and seachem root tabs
no co2
2 of them still have green foam around roots from pet stor
newer one without stuff around roots is still getting worse
any ideas?

can you tell us your fert routine (what you use, how much you mix, and when dosed etc)

you said above you dose NPK

i dose an npk tab by jungle

i did say above you are missing nitrate in the water column, and you need to dose KNO3 or a liquid fert - substrate ferts alone are not enough with 2.6wpg.

and what would you suggest for an american liguid fert

i am not sure what is over there, any will do as long as it contains Nitrate, Phosphorous & Potassium. Dry ferts are avaialable here:
