Heya

I might be switching to sand in my 38 gallon within the next day or two, but I have one problem....I have no idea where Iam going to put my Jack Dempsey until the tank is done with. Iam putting my bristlenose pleco in my 20 gallon.

So, what I'm wondering is...to those of you that have switched to sand, what did you use for a temporary home for your fish?

Thanks :)

possibly a large plastic container? I'm thinking of RubberMaid, but i'm not sure if they have that brand in Canada. The size i'm thinking of I would guess holds at least 20 gallons. It would be with the storage containers.

BTW - after seeing your Jack Dempsey, I now want one. He is gorgeous

Hmm..come to think of it, a friend of mine has a large plastic container that he used for his fish once. Silly me
I'll just borrow his. Thanks for your reply :)

He is a She :p and thank you very much. I love her

When I upgraded my oscar's tank I temporarily put him in a big plastic bucket... he wasn't too happy about it, but it worked just fine. Catching a 6" oscar without a net was no fun at all though

 Thankfully, my JD is only 2.5 inches at the moment so she will be no problem to catch :p

I can't imagine catching a 6" fish with no net, that must have taken awhile :D

I put mine in on of the buckets I use for water changes... with small internal filter and heater and plants to make them happy!
