which fish are we talking here?
if its common goldfish then feeding them peas that have been boiled, skinned and squashed help. do you have any nitrate readings and are they in the pond or tank? raising the temperature can also help.
could you also describe the behaviour too?

HI blackangel

the fish affected are danios, hatchet fish and guppys
all in the tank temp 25c

amonia,nitrite,nitrate,PH are all fine

the fish swim as tho they cant seem to right there self in the water properly

hope u can help

are we talking multiple fish with the same
symptoms in the same tank?

hi
could you please post your results.
maybe you are overfeeding, how much and how often.?

yes
multiple fish with the same symptoms in the same tank

i do tend to give them a little more than i should, but thet eat all i give them?

2 good pinches a day (1 in the morn and 1 in the evening)

could this be the trouble???

how does over feeding them affect the fish?

cheers

over feeding causes the gases in the stomache to build causing constipation and bloating. the best thing would be to starve them for a day or two and get a frozen pea, boil it for 4 minutes, skin it and mush it up and feed that once a day for three days and see if that helps.

hi guys/gals

i havent fed my fish since last night and one of the hatchet fish has sprung back into life.

should it be such a quick recovery????

cheers

the gas could have eased and if they were constipated it could now be clearing . give them another 24 hours and see if the rest catch up. you can give them peas for 3 days and then alternate each day with live, freeze dried, flake and green foods.
dont feed so much, they only have tiny stomachs. just a small pich will do just now each day.

have you tried squashing it until its all mushy?

did that to a fresh pea an hor ago....

still not interested even after 2 days with no food?

when do u think i should drop a little flake in again?

cheers
:D
