so my new neons have been nothing but trouble :( they have a bit of fin rot and now i think one has a swim blader disorder.... it looks like it is trying to swimm down all the time but is unable to ....he is facing 45 degrees to the bottom.... is it true that it can be easilly fix by feeding him some frozen beans or can it be frozen bloodworms?

thanks

Are you feeding them flake from the surface? That often causes this problem in neons. You need to hold the pinch of flake under the water surface of a little while so it sinks slightly.

It's peas that are good for constipation in fish, which could be the problem (bloodworm is ok for constipation too, but peas are better). Cook the peas, then take the 'skin' off the outside and crush it or chop it into tiny pieces.

yes but i have only fed them 2 times( i fed bloodworms most of the time ) cause i got them 5 or so days a go....

so are peas good to cure my fish from the swimblader disorter? i am sure that the fish is not constipated

thanks

Pes won't cure an actual swim bladder disorder no, but they're worth trying as constipation or other stomch troubles can press on the swim bladder and cause these sorts of problems.

If that doesn't work you can try a med for internal bacterial infections; Myxazin is what I normally recommend.

looks like it was a false alarm :D when i woke up the fish was great and swimming normal :p

thaks for the help anyway
