Hi, I don't know if this is actually an emergency, but one of my spotted corys has begun to have this problem. I think it may be it's swim bladder but I don't really know. At first it started falling over, now it's swimming upside down. I called a local pet store and asked them, and they think it's the swim bladder. They said if it is this, there's nothing to be done. Does anyone have any ideas?

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
What do you feed the fish.

it could be swim bladder to bacterial.

Swim bladder is caused by bad water quality, unstable temp, bad diet of to many dried foods, internal parasites, bacterial, injury, birth defect of the swim bladder.

Also when they turn upside down they rarely make it.
Corys are very prone to bacterial infections.
Any red streaking on fins or body of the fish.

Fast the fish for a couple of days and then let them have frozen peas, which are thawed and a bit smashed. This is a type of fish laxative! you should feed them this laxative twice regularly till they saw improvement. If there is no improvement in a 5 day period, you can increase the temp of ur tank and add some aquarium salt.

Don't add salt with corys they only tolerate small doses.
