I have two fish (I'm pretty sure they're females) which I'm worried about. I know, as it's spring, it's breeding season, so they're getting fatter with eggs. The only problem is, they're also leaning as they swim, and they spend a lot of time just hovering in the water. I've recently moved them into a new tank, but I don't think they're still upset because of that, they seem fine. Do you think it's swim bladder, or is it normal for breeding season? Please help!

Are they looking like they are having difficulty maintaining ballence in the water, or does it look like they are doing the leaning intentionaly? Also, by hovering do you mean at the surface, or bottom sitting, or just still out in the water colunm?

Also, what are you feeding them, how much + how often?

Tank stats for ammonia, nitrite nitrate and pH would also be useful if you have a test kit...

All the best of luck with diagnosis
