One of my Colombian tetras has a problem at the moment. It is unable to maintain neutral bouyancy and keeps floating up with one side of its body. It seems to swim in circles moving upwards.

The body looks kind of crooked, and one eye appears to be sticking out more than the other, also the top of the fish looks slightly swollen when compared to the others. Some of the time it just stays still on top of a plant not moving.

I thought it might be a swim bladder problem brought on by constipation. I tried bathing it in a small solution using epsom salts last night but it doesn't seem to have worked.

Anyone else got any other ideas?

Ammonia is 0, Nitrite is 0, Nitrate is 15

All the other residents are fine apart from my female ram, but I'm pretty sure that is Hexamita.

The swimming probs do sound like swimbladder, but I haven't heard of swimbladder accompanied by the other symptons.

With what you have described my two initial thoughts are TB and dropsy. I suppose its possible either have struck and swim bladder is a secondary infection.

I would quarantine initially (if you can) and try to treat with internal anti bac.

Yes the fish has swim bladder plus a secondary bacterial infection of popeye by the sounds of it, not sounding good i'm afraid, do you feed to many dried foods, i would issolate the fish if you can, sorry.
