I think my little buddy may have swim bladder disease. He is a bit bloated and seems to be floating at the surface on his side. When he does get upright he swims around the tank franticly sometimes swimming into the sides of the tank. I recently put him in his old 1 gal. to help cure him. Anyone have any ideas?

It could be constipation. If it is possible, isolate him and don't feed for 3 days. After that, give him a cooked, shelled pea. That will generally solve the problem.

He is a beautiful Betta. I noticed he was acting a little funny yesterday morning so I took him out of the 10g and isolated him in a 1.5g. Unfortuneately I dont have a heater or filter in that so I dont kno0w how much this is going to help.

was he in the 10 gallon with other fish? if so, how many and what kind?
water parameters of the ten gallon?
no heater is bad. if you really can't get him back in the ten gallon or buy another heater, put a heating pad under his bowl/tank.
swim bladder has no cure once it has progressed past a certain point.
read up on the pea thing and constipation as the potential problem.
