Hey,
we bought some new additions for our goldfish tank yesterday, and one of them seems to (what I believe to be) swim bladder disease!
It lasted the night, swimming around upside down!
Is there any known cures or anything that will cure this poor goldfish?!

Thank you :good:

I've known people suggest giving a fish with swimbladder cooled down cooked peas. This has the effect of causing excess gas (which is thing that contributes to it losing it's balance) to exit the fish.

I've experienced swimbladder in a Koi and raising the temperature of the water by 1 degrees C per hour also helps to cure it.

I think there are some cases where the swimbladder doesn't right itself though.

Thank you very much... the fish seemed to have got better, but i just looked at it and it has unfourtunatly died :-(

But that info is good to know just incase anything happens again!

Thanks again :good:
