I have a 5" fancy goldfish which has swim bladder disease. This is the second time, the first time I treated him with peas which worked.
This time I have tried peas, epsom salts and various medications as well as frequent water changes and it hasn't righted it self. However instead of floating at the top upside down he tends to do head stands on the gravel and not be able to right himself easily.
It has been over six months and I don't think there is anything more I can do. Do you think I would be kinder euthanasing him as most of his life is spent jutted underneath the filter, only bothering to swim around when I feed him.
