:good: 3 fry ,doing paticulaly good I might say, were the newest addition I noticed this morning feeding my mollies .
They are so adorable !!! much much much bigger than my bf's cichlid fry I have been mooning over LOL. 2 are black and 1 is not, it's a mixed black and clear. I have found 2 or 3 corpses and have cleaned partial and added new water, with salt, chlorine and chloramine remover.

Was a tad underprepared so I improvised and put a bit of panty hose over the intake and worked like a charm, also added river pebbles for hiding places, they are quite brave and followed me around to see what I was doing !! I'm in love, hehe.

Please feel free to enlighten me if I have missed something or not.

I am a new member, as a matter a fact I think this is my 1st. post as I have been busy devouring all the information. The site is wonderful and want to say thanks to all the peeps who care so much for all of us and continue to educate.

aw congrats on the fry, its always fun with them, but i'd suggest if you 100% want them to live you seperate them, what else do you have in the tank? they are very good hiders, you will have more in about 4 weeks time :good:

I have 6... 1in. mollies for a 20 gal I bought 3 days ago. Now that I found this site tho I have read that only 2 should be in a 20 gal.

you can have more than 2 in a 20 gallon, most people use 1inch of the adult sized fish per gallon of water as a guide line, so with that you could have at least 3, some people stock 2 inch per gallon, the only difference is keeping up with maitainence and wather changes. how many males/females do you have?

Congratulations, it's a real buzz finding your first fry isn't it? But, I have to say I haven't gotten over it yet. I have a 22lt set up on my kitchen bench that I put fry in until they're too big too eat, then they go back into the Mum's and Fry tank to grow out before I sell them.

Good luck :)
