Swapping Tanks?

How do i introduce my fish to a new tank i have?
Do i put them in bags as if they have come from the shop and do it that way or just put them in??
I've only just sorted out the tank today and put it up and that, so gunna wait a week or so before attempting to put them in.
I'm going to get the water checked at the LFS before i do this and then add the water from the old tank into it too.

But i just dont know how to actually put them in???

i think even if water is the same temp in new tank as in old tank u should float the fish first in yes the bags ur LFS would use

i think maybe 1 week for the tank 2 cycle mite be a little short but i guess if ur using same filter/media/water it MAY be ok but still seems a short while 2 me

maybe some 1 else has an opion on this

I was gunna leave it a week, then get the water checked and see what they say and get some plants then,
Then leave it another week and get it checked again and if its fine i'll put them in then, coz i've used same water and things like that.

are you going to be using the same filter for the new tank??
