If i was to swap a air stone from my filter in tank that has already been cycled and put it in my my new tank filter would that help kick start the bacteria growth in my new tank?

um.... it might. Well this is what i think it will do.

Since the air sone is from a gravel filter or burried for a bubbling decoration, then it would have the fishes "good" bacteria. So by puting it in completely new water it most to all of the "good" bacteria will die.

That's what i think it will do.

The new tank that i have put it into has been running for about 2 weeks and i only jus put the airstone in now so its not been put into new water... And also it wasnt from a under gravel filter but a filter that sorta looks like a cartridge that sits in the corner of the tank under water...
