Over the past week i have had 3 fish die. 2 of the fish that died were swiming awkwardly almost as though they were paralised slightly. They could move there side fins keeping themselfs afloat but when it came to swiming forwards it seemed a real struggle as though they couldnt move there backbone properly. one fish out of the 3 had a bent spine that i only noticed after it died. It didnt have a bent spine before it died which is strange as i thought with fish tb it bent before the fish died with lots of other symptoms. None of the other fish that died have had bent spines just major swimming problems and rapid gill movement. I also havnt noticed any loss of colour in any of the fish that died or any other symptoms. None of my other fish in the tank show any symptoms fo diesease. My water conditions are all spot on 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and low nitrates.

Im thinking its obviously some sort of internal bacterial infection.

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.

Bent spines can be old age, injury, birth defect, fish tb, internal parasites.

Signs of internal parasites are.
Long stringy white poo, or clear mucas poo, red poo.
Worms prutruding from the anus.
Bent spine sometimes.
Being skinny or bloated.
Sunken in belly.
Enlarged anus or red inflamed anus.
Fish will sometimes swim on its side.

Fish that have been infected are 2 platys and 1 guppy. The guppy is the only one with a bent spine but that wasnt until it died that i noticed its spine was bent so i dont think it was bent while it was alive. all the fish only showed symptoms of difficulty swiming nothing else. Its like that had been paralised. None of my other fish are now showing signs so maybe it hasnt spread. Im just gonna wait and see.

Its hard to say fish tb without showing alot of symtoms or having test done on a dead fish.
I would treat the tank for internal parasites.
Whats your location?

I think its internal parasites now as yesterday night i went up to the tank and one if my platys was pooping out clear stringy stuff. Is this defo parasites and how hard is it to treat. Theres alot of vegitation in my tank i read somewhere that can cuase white poo.

My location is birmingham in the west midlands.
