Surface Plant

Good afternoon to you all,
I wonder if any one could suggest a surface plant to give my new barbs the cover they need.
I don’t just want a floating plant, I was looking for some thing that I could plant in my substrate (or attach to bog wood) that would send out stems to the surface and produce some sort of leaf, for cover. Currently I have 1.1 wpg but will be doubling that soon, 70gal tank with flora base substrate.

Off the top of my head:

Vallisineria
Water onion
Water lillies

A nice big lily might work too - just let the leaves reach the surface. Nymphaea species.
