Hi! it's not quite as urgent as it sounds but I'm a little concerned for a superveil Angelfish I bought a couple of weeks ago. It was bought as an adult, and I'm guessing it was probably fed regularly with blood worm or similar all the time. The problem is it's now in a community tank with about 5 other angels and various other fish, but will not eat the flakes that the others eat. It tries the flakes.. and just spits them out straight away. Though I have tried it on froxen bloodworm, which it seems to enjoy, but it's so slow in getting to the food that it's all gone after it's only had about 3 bits as all the other fish love it. I'm worried it could be getting thinner, is there anything I can do to get it eating flakes or something else?

As a last resort I could put it into a 10 gallon I have just set up, is fully cycled etc, but isn't very big and I don't think would be fair to it..

Any ideas? It's such a beautiful fish, definitely my favourite!

Thanks!

First off, PICS? Second, try getting Garlic Juice and putting it on the flakes, the angel may like it then. If that dosent work, get some Metro and sprinkle it ont he food. Once it gets digested, the angel should start eating.

It's the first time I've posted a picture so I hope that works! apologies for the quality.. took about 50 and that was the best one! also the water has been agitated a bit so lots of debris floating about in the water doesn't help

He looks skinny. Might have a parasite. I would definatley go with the Metro.

I'll give it a go, is there the same product under a different name or something very similar that I can get within the uk? I've done a quick search but can't seem to find anything specifically metronidazole related..?
