Supersized Swordie Girl?

ive been trying to find a good pic of a f & m swordie together for ages but failed. we think our mum swordie is a bit of a monster as compared to the male shes huge!!!! at least 5 times his size... he still loves her & follows her around like a faithful dog & i know your supposed to have 2 f to every male but we lost a f shortly after we got them & mr swordie never harrasses her at all in fact she definitely rules the roost & gives him a nip if she wants him to disappear! we just had 50+ beautiful babies from the pair, all survived & have gone off to new homes.
but were just wondering is this size difference normal or in a years time am i going to have to build a heated pond outside to accomodate her when she reaches a foot in size???

ive posted a pic taken ages ago shes about 1/2 a cm bigger all round now .

Very nice fish, yeah shes definitely the boss of the tank, as my platty of the same colour was until i added my male gourami

Its not unusual for females to be larger: i have seen a platy sword cross go 2.5inches. She will slow down, and only grow to the allowance your tank size has: thats the weird thing about livebearers, they grow while the growins good.

thanks our swordie girl is nearly 4 inches from nose to end of her tail!!!!!
