Superfish Aquaflow 100-I've Broken It :(

Just done my water change and the filter is always really noisy when I switch it back on until I remove the spraybar for a few seconds, then it calms down.
When I went to put the spray bar back on though, I managed to pull off the filter outlet at the top. It doesn't look as though I've actually snapped any plastic but I cannot work out how to get it back on. I've left the filter running with the water just coming out of the top of the filter. My betta can't get near it, so no chance of him getting in, and I've got it right at the top of the water.
Has anyone got one of these? It looks like it should just snap back in, but I don't want to force it if that's wrong.

Sounds broken . Brute force may be the only option, if it hasn't come off before its probably very stiff.
Did it come with the tank? The filter that came with my superfish Aqua Qube 40 was terrible, it made a ton of noise and sometimes it didn't turn back on after I switched it off for maintenance, I replaced it with a Fluval 2+ which is great .

Thanks harlequins, I'll go and have another go
It did come with the tank spectrum. I've had a couple of times it wouldn't shut up, but in general it's very quiet and I love the spray bar feature
