Hi,
I'm Steve Brumbley, new to this forum. I BUILT A Koi pond in my back yard. I started a hear ago with a dozen Koi, two algae eaters and 3 gold fish. The gold fish have reproduced twice and one has adult, all white died. There are now 12 young gold fish from all black to all orange happily growing in the pond. All of the Koi were small when i got them, 2 to 3 inches. A water moccasin got several of them. I now have12 large Koi. One however is very large. At first I thought she/he was pregnant but it has been a couple months now and I don't think so. Anyone know what is going on with this fish?

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Any chance of some pictures of the fish?
Do the scales stick out from the fish's body?
Is the fish eating normally?

If it's eating well and acting normally, and the scales aren't sticking out form the body, then it's probably just a female full of eggs.

Goldfish don’t get pregnant, they are egg layers. If you have males and she is full of eggs then the males should bump her around to encourage her to scatter the eggs.

I've tried to get a good photo but she hides when I approach. If you zoom in on the picture you con see her very swollen belly.
